are you a lover of stripes? then, like me, you won't be able to get enough of la ligne. recently launched by fashion industry vets-- meredith melling and valerie boster of vogue and molly howard of rag & bone-- la ligne looks at the classic stripe through a modern lens. the resulting collection is comprised of essentials (year-round staples) and edition (seasonal trend pieces) all featuring one of their many interpretations of stripes. the bardot dress (above) has been my favorite dress to wear this summer and i was delighted each time with rave reviews. also topping my list are the short line dress, classique knit and luxe top. but really, they are all impossible to resist!

miu miu's leather ballet flats are a refreshing twist on the classic, creating an eccentric punk look with ribbons, buckles and a host of embellishments. i certainly think they are a great way to give a basic outfit a bit of edge and thankfully zara has a strikingly similar version for a fraction of the price!
