the starlets were shining last night at the golden globes and what a surprise to see so many in sunny shades of yellow! natalie portman had an extra special baby glow and her electric yellow crystal embellished prada dress was my personal favorite. her performance in 'jackie' as jacqueline kennedy was also stunning, do check out the movie if you haven't already.

happy new year

well, darlings, the holiday is coming to a screeching halt and i am dragging my heels every step of the way. that is until monday when my kids return to school. so bring on 2017 and all it has in store (and stores!). wishing health and happiness to each and everyone.

fall(ter) ego

on a recent getaway to sonoma i was pleased to wear this little denim number one more time before socking it away for winter. it was my go-to all summer- luncheons! dinner parties! vacation! it truly was an all-occasion ensemble that got plenty of use. luckily, all of these items have a fall alter ego- the dress is updated in an oh-so flattering shade of crimson crepe, the drool-worthy earrings get a bit of holiday sparkle and the clutch comes in a sumptuous velvet. so if you are looking for a go-to fall (and holiday!) outfit, look no further.
